[tatting] 第一次玩梭子蕾絲編織 first time for shuttle tatting

Have you been attracted by the photo?   It's my new project!

This is "shuttle tatting."
I bought my first shuttle 4 years ago.  I thought it is interesting when I saw this book "first time for shuttle tatting" in book store (it's out-of-print now).  I bought the book right away, and then I order a shuttle and a set of bobbin (5pcs/set).  However I fell in love with knitting before I knew how to do shuttle tatting.  Last week, I was remindered when I was browsing a Japanese knitter's blog, she has so many amazing tatting projects!  Then I pick up my shuttle and started test tatting.  I spent most of time to test since it is really hard to make double stitches even, and make the ring and chain closer.  So do not want to be faster...I think that the meaning of "handmade" is to enjoy the process, it's not a speed compition.

After the fist 2 weird tatting projects, I get a beautiful project~

So...Still don't know what "shuttle" is?

That's it, the tools I bought these days...
Some queued projects have to use 2 shuttles, so I buy it online again.  I hesitated to buy metal or plastic one, then I purchased both of them. I always buy shuttles with this brand becuase of the fair price ( NT65 for metal/ plastic shuttle, and bobbin is also NT65/set).  The most important reason is that it's Made In Taiwan!! I am so proud of Taiwan♥♥♥♥♥

By the way, I use the yarn which is made in Taiwan too.  It is not so smooth, but I think it is enough (and economic) for a beginner!
